Hi,
I have multiple CAT5 network point in my house. The connect back to a Virgin Hub router switch ports.
I can connect 1 GWP and set it up through the Google Home app and setup a new SSID.
When I connect ( power and ethernet) the 2nd GWP and run through the wizard in Google Home app it throws up the attached message indicating that I can't connect two WiFi devices to the same Hub.
Does anyone know if this is supported? I'd like to have wired ethernet backhauling my traffic from both devices in the mesh.

Doc about what's called "wired backhaul":
Sounds like you are connecting multiple Nest Wifi pucks directly to the modem, but only one of them should be. All the others must be connected behind the primary/ master puck.
So:
Then
Can be daisy chained, but best practice is to add a unmanaged switch behind the primary puck.

Hi, AntonT.
I just wanted to jump in real fast to see if you saw olavrb's reply and to see if you still needed some help on this or if you were able to get it sorted out. If you are still needing some help, just let us know and we'll be happy to continue helping.
Thanks.

Hi, so this absolutely works and makes sense. I didn't understand that the GWP act as a NAT boundary. But yes I have this set up now and it works really well
One thing I noticed though, as my Sony TV is directly connected to the Virgin WiFi router, and my phone's and laptops are on WiFi behind the GWP boundary, my MacBook Pro airplay is unable to cast to the TV as essentially they are on different networks.
Have you come across this use case before? I'm curious to here if there are any clever solutions.
Thanks!

That's because of NAT and firewall too. The easy fix is to have everything connected behind the same NAT router, Nest Wifi in your scenario.

We actually have the Google WiFi not the Best one. Is it possible to configure static NAT on the primary GWP?

The config possibilities are the same for Google Wifi as Nest Wifi.
No NAT settings are available, only the option to bridge Google Wifi and use it as an access point only. But then mesh won't work for instance. And you'd need one Google Home home per puck. So I don't recommend that.
Connect everything behind your primary Google Wifi, and you'll be fine.

Hey, everyone.
It looks like we've slowed down here again. We'll be closing up the thread unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.
Thanks.
