I'm unable to set up my google wifi point as it won't connect to the internet. It's plugged directly into the modem, and I've turned my modem and wifi point on and off many times, but it still won't connect to the internet. I've tried using different cables, but to no avail. What should I do?

Hi, Dylan Yeo.

I'm sorry for the issues you're having getting your WiFi point set up. I imagine that's quite frustrating. I'll be happy to help you sort this out.

I do have a few questions for you, however.

  • Can you see the point in the Home app when you go to set it up?
  • Do you have a router already working and set up? You do need the router set up before the points.
  • Are you seeing any error messages during setup? If so, what are they?

If you could give me a little more detail, I can help you get this working for you. I look forward to hearing back. Thanks.
