Hello
I live with 2 of my cousins, each of us have phones, notebooks and a few other devices, all connected to Google Nest without issues except my notebook. What happens is that whenever I connect to our Wi-Fi, after two or three minutes, the notebook gets paused indefinitely. If I un-pause the notebook using the phone app, it gets paused again and again. This happens at any time of the day, even when I'm alone at home or everyone else is sleeping so it isn't any of them messing with me. I can't use our internet on my main device and it is infuriating me.
A few more details which might be relevant: its a Acer Nitro 5 (a cousin has the same notebook and don't have this problem), Win11, all drivers are up to date.
Thanks

Its been over a week and I have found out the source of my troubles. I made a fresh new windows installation and tried to isolate each thing one by one to find out what caused the pauses. When I signed in on One Drive the problems started, so I turned it off and I haven't been paused ever since.
I don't know why One Drive was pausing my notebook, maybe it is the service itself, maybe some corrupted file I have uploaded in the cloud, no idea really. However, stopping use One Drive completely fixed the issue so I'm leaving this post here in case it happens to someone else
Thanks

Hey @Henrius .
If you are unpausing your device, I assume it is in the Family Wi-Fi settings. If your device is getting paused continuously without intervention, there is likely a schedule or routine set up that is overriding the unpausing. You might not be able to see it depending on the level of access you have which is also why the attempt to unpause it doesn't work.
Here are some articles that should assist with helping you figure it out:
Let me know if this helps to resolve it or if you need further assistance.

There's no Family Wi-Fi group in our Google Home app. Its just me and another cousin who have full access to the google nest settings and no family group shows up on neither of our apps.
Just to clarify, I can unpause my notebook, it just gets paused again after 1 or 2 minutes. The issue persists.

Hey @Henrius .
How are you unpausing your laptop if Family Wi-Fi isn't set up?

After opening the Home app on my phone I go to Wi-Fi > Devices > My Pc name > Unpause Device button.
Just that.

Thanks for the additional info @Henrius .
Please check the below tips at the bottom of the below articles and let me know if it resolves the issue:

See, what that article advises is what I have been already doing all this time. Still, after one or two minutes my notebook is paused again. There's no family set up, no schedules of any form (not even favorited devices). It just keeps pausing my notebook (and only my notebook) again and again.

Hey @Henrius .
Have you performed a reboot of the network? If not, I would try that next. Also, check to make sure that you do not have Mac address randomization enabled on the device, especially if you have a static IP address configured in settings.
If you are sure that no one has a rule, routine, etc. set up for your device and none of the other recommended solutions work, you will need to reset the devices and set it up from scratch to clear whatever is causing the issue.

Earlier today checked what you said, Mac address is fixed, the entire network was rebooted, and my cousin and I reset all devices and set them up anew. It helped, but not entirely.
Now instead of having my notebook being paused every minute or so it takes between 20 minutes to an hour before its paused again for no reason.

Hey @Henrius .
I'm going to escalate this thread for you. The reset should have cleared any settings on the devices so there is something unique happening. You should hear back from the Google Team with the next steps soon.

This is a defect that Google released recently and the only way to resolve it is a factory reset

Please tell Google to fix this

It’s a defect from the latest upgrade and the only thing you can do is a resolve is doing a factory reset.

Just an update, I finally had the time to reset everything to factory and set up a new home network. I'll monitor it over the weekend to see if the problem continues

Alright, I've monitored the internet during this holidays and the problem persist, however my notebook (and only my notebook) gets paused randomly. Sometimes it goes a long time without being paused, other times it gets paused every minute or so. Just to recap, everything has been reset to factory, its a new network with new name and password and there's no schedules whatsoever.
Theres something I didnt mention before because I didnt think would be relevant. Before using google nest, with our old modem, I had the similar problems, my ip would be blocked on the modem settings at random, sometimes even the entire admin/pass of the modem would change and I would had to reset it to factory. Eventually it stopped but it took a long time. As I said, it might not be relevant but for completion sake there it is.
I can't stop but think its something on my end that causes these issues. Thou I only really use the notebook for games, steam, discord, etc. Things my other cousins do as well but they don't have the same issue.

Hi Henrius,
Thank you for your response. I'm sorry to hear that the situation is the same.
Based on the information that you already share with us, you are right, because the issue is the same with other routers or modems. Can you try to contact your Internet service provider to see if maybe they block something on your primary modem?
If the answer is no, try to contact the manufacturer to see if they can help you with some troubleshooting on your PC.
Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.
Regards,
Kevin
