Nest Pro Overheating

I recently updated to the Nest Pro. I am noticing the access points are generating a lot of heat.. I am not sure what the normal operating range is but these devices are not warm but hot to touch. I am concerned about fire hazard. I saw other threads on a similar issue, is google researching the reported heat issues?

It’s normal for them to get warm during operation. If they are genuinely too hot for you to touch, disconnect them from power and contact the Google Nest support team.

  1. Go to Contact Us - Google Nest Help
  2. Select an appropriate option, type a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
  3. Click "Other", then click "Next step" until you see the contact options.
  4. Choose to get a call or call or chat with the team as available in your country.
