Hi GA945,

Thanks for posting — let's see what's going on.

A few questions: did you set up your network again after connecting your Nest Wifi router? What kind of modem do you have? Is it a modem router combo? What's the model number of your HP printer? Can other devices connect to your network successfully?

We'll wait for your update.

Best,
Abi

Thanks for responding. Yes, we reset the network after the Nest Pro was installed. Everything else in the house connected successfully.  The printer, however, never showed as a device in the house. I did find on google that the HP required a special link which I performed so the Nest is not showing it as linked, it does appear as a printer under items on the network. HP is not seeing or acknowledging the Nest router.

The modem is an AT&T BGW210 which is a modem router combo.  the model number of the printer is Officejet 5522.

I am available to answer any additional questions regarding this matter.

Hey GA945,

Thanks for the update. To confirm, were you able to install the necessary printer drivers after connecting it to a computer via USB? Also, what system were you using before the Nest Wifi Pro?

Regards,
Abi

Hello Abagail,

The printer has always been connected wirelessly, never connected using a USB cord, I verified all drivers for the printer prior to reinstalling the printer, The printer after several tests always passed with no problems, however, my laptop and cellphone don't see it on the network.

My network has always been on AT&T and the router was the BGW210. Now I am using the Nest Pro router (I am assuming the modem on the BGW210 for the line connection).
Hope this answers your question

Hello GA945,

Nest Wifi Pro doesn't support Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) printers. You need to use the printer as a network-attached printer, connect it to a computer via USB, and install the necessary printer drivers. You should be able to print after that.

Cheers,

Abi
