Hey DR3,

Thanks for bringing this up to us — let's see what's going on.

Was it working before? How many Google Nest Wifi are we setting up? Also, what’s the LED status when it’s plugged in?

Give these steps a whirl:

  1. Make sure that your phone’s Bluetooth and Location Services are on.
  2. Reinstall your Google Home app.
  3. Toggle Wi-Fi off and back on.
  4. Factory reset your Google Wifi.
  5. Try using a different mobile phone or tablet.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Mel

The dilemma only gets worse

contacted Google support after a couple of hours they said my gateway needed to be set to

DMZ or IP passthrough

Port forwarding to udp 5222

spent hours with AT&T my ISP - they fixed the settings and said it was Google

purchased a new router - no difference

rebooted gateway several times, had router directly connected to modem - would go through setup on Google Home

Only thing left was Google Home app decided it must be the app

Picked up a new IPhone  made sure VPN Isis off,Bluetooth &  location settings on , toggled WiFi - downloaded app from iCloud

Nest router now connected, says it is working fine , speed tests look good - progress 😄 not so

Google Home app shows router as loading - even though the same app shows it is fine when you click on the icon

Now try to connect Nest Wi Fi points - power the up, light is slow pulsing white, the Google Home app cannot find them

Any ideas ?

The problem appears to be resolved - I now have everything on line , router and mesh are now working. Completed yet another factory reset on router and  points and it works. Not sure which solution fixed the problem ISP, router settings, factory resetting the points, deleting and downloading the app, using a different IPhone to go through set up - whatever it was it was an agonizing journey that I would not wish on anyone. I have to say that when I was able to get to the right source for advice ( this community, Google tech support and my ISP ) the help was excellent
