Nest Wi-Fi routers both with LAN?

I currently have my Nest router upstairs (where my main ADSL socket is and a network switch for CCTV, PC etc. I am having full fibre broadband installed and believe that my modem will be installed downstairs where the telephone wiring comes into the house. 
The questions I have are:

do you think it will be installed where it comes into the house as I believe FTTP doesn’t use the house telecom wiring?

if I install my nest router downstairs and link directly to the modem, can I purchase another google nest wifi router to use as a point and then use the ports on that for my network switch for the CCTV etc?

I am trying to avoid having to move the network switch and connections downstairs and believe this will work but would like the advice of those who know please. Thanks!

Yes you can do this, note that if you have the nest WiFi pro, you will have to buy another. If you have the First or 2nd gen, buy the first gen point. (The second gen points don’t have a lan port.)

Thanks for the reply. I have Google nest (not Pro). I thought the nest Wi-Fi router always came with Ethernet / lan ports. Is that not the case? Or am I misunderstanding and you are saying I can buy a first generation point and still have Ethernet points and achieve the same thing cheaper?

The 2nd gen nest point has Google assistant with no LAN ports. While 1st gen nest point has a LAN port. This is why I suggest the 1st nest point.

Thank you again so much for the reply. Are you suggesting a 1st generation point because of the LAN port / price, because I was looking at a second generation router to add to the network which should also have the LAN ports? Sorry just need to make sure I understand. Thank you.

@Jpm777, apologies for the late reply. @lighx is correct. You can use additional Nest Wifi routers to act as points and do a hard wire connection. Let us know if you have any other questions and we'll be happy to help out.

I’m all good now thanks. I’m going to buy an additional google nest router so I have  2 places I can plug in Ethernet cables / a network switch for various accessories.
