Nest WiFi Point not resetting or booting up properly

Hi, 

I recently bought a second hand set of nest mesh Wi-Fi gear. 

I have set up the router and one Wi-Fi point with no problem, but when setting up the second Wi-Fi point the the two white lights come on then nothing happens. I have tried holding the reset button whilst the device is powered on, and I have tried holding the reset button when the device is plugged in but nothing changes.

Is there some other way of making this work?

Hi @kris12,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're experiencing issues with your Nest Wifi point since it's not properly resetting in order to set it up with your Nest Wifi router. I also appreciate the information about you trying to reset it with the reset button. I'm happy to help.

Could you confirm if this is the first time the device is being set up, or if it was already associated with a different account?

In the meantime, please try unplugging your Nest Wifi point's power cable, leave it unplugged for 5 minutes, and then plug it back in. After it's plugged in and fully on, perform another factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button. Please make sure you press the button long enough until you hear a sound confirming that the device is resetting. After a few minutes, the device will start slowly blinking white, which means it's ready for setup.
