So, my WiFi Pro arrived today and I was really excited to get it setup. I set everything up using the Google Home app and downloaded the updates. I have a fiber gigabit connection from my provider and their most recent modem. My wired connections are pegged to about 90Mbps. My Nest WiFi (non Pro) was getting 900+Mbps wired.
My troubleshooting has been the following:
My Nest WiFi Pro is in DHCP WAN mode and connected directly to the 10Gbps ethernet port on my modem. I am using a mix of CAT 5 and CAT 6 cabling and my switches are all gigabit or higher.
Plugging the old Nest WiFi (non Pro) back in yields 900+Mbps on wired connections.
I think something is wrong

No change for me been waiting I finally got the upgrade But still nothing above 50MB I'm getting Close to my download I'm getting 700 my older router gave me 950

Still no good even after the update and reboots Factory sets everything in the world nothing works still slow and this is New York on a one gig connection

Same boat as you, I too am in NY using Fios and gigabit speeds and still slow.
I ordered the eero pro 6e coming tomorrow just to see what the speed differences are

I got the update, restarted the router a few times, even did a power cycle, and I'm now getting mixed results every time I do a speed test via the Google app, highest speed I got was almost 700 download/upload, but I've also gotten results below 500 as well.

Do not do the Google speed test. They test against their servers. Those could be afar and there could be a lot of factors affecting the test results.
Use a local speed test via speedtest.net from a wired device. Those results will be much more consistent.

I also did the speed test via a wired connection using speedtest.net, I still got mixed results.
I did the speed test via the Google app with the previous generation Nest WiFi and I was getting close to the 1gig speed, so it's not the Google servers, it's the device itself.

I have the latest firmware and this morning my speed tests didn't get past 3mbps, had to restart the network to get anything functional at all. There sure better be a lot of additional updates in the near future.

I got Nest Wifi Pro thinking it would outperform Ausu Zen WiFi XT8, however I was wrong. Nest WiFi Pro each node in the triple pack I got is making it useless for my home set up since it has only a single ethernet port, and the coverage of each node simply so bad that Tesla parked outside on my driveway cannot get wifi signal, which was never an issue compared with the router from broadband service provider and zen wifi xt8 product. I am not even at a point to complain about slow speed connection issues. Hence I had to return the nest wifi pro triple pack

The update worked for the wireless speeds for me (Canada, cable modem) although my wired speeds are still inconsistant. On top of that I've had 2 occurences of something seeming to bog down the main Nest router which brings all speeds to a crawl. Only thing that has worked is a physical power cycle of the Nest router... 5 days left to return it...

I finally gave up I went back to my old router and use that as my internet and then connect the Google to them now it looks like I'm getting decent speed but not as fast as my single router

I ordered two systems to try:
1) Linksys Atlas Pro 6 triple package
2) TP Link Archer AX53 router with 2 units of TP Link RE700X range extenders
I hope one of the options above will give me wifi 6 internet for the whole home

a bit of update: so far the Linksys Atlas Pro 6 is the one I still got, as the the TP Link router + range extender does not allow wired backhaul which is no-go for us. I also got hold of Netgear Orbi RBK353, however the version I got I could not get it connecting fully (spent several hours on the phone with Netgear support agent). I returned the Netgear as well.
The issue with Linksys Atlas Pro 6 is that it does not allow seamless fast roaming, meaning that devices connect to farther away nodes, and when going roaming in the house it does not do a good job in the regards! I could not see anywhere on Linksys site to state that Atlas Pro 6 is 802.11k v r compliant. The Linksys agent on the chat suggested that some of their business access points are compliant however they are then rather too expensive!
I am at this point rather disappointed that there does not exist a dual band WiFi 6 triple package mesh system that would be good for say up to 1GB/s speeds and offer seamless fast roaming! Why manufacturers are not coming up with something that actually works, and rather spend too much time with WiFi 6e or even WiFi 7? What's the point?

so far I managed to get Linksys Atlas Pro 6 configured and have not evaluated much. The other TP Link system will arrive tomorrow.

I picked up the router last week and an running on BT FTTP broadband at 900mbps.
However, with the router my speed tests top out at 200mbps. This is on firmware 1.63.324946, which I think is the latest. I assume them that at this point in time, this issue is not fixed?

I'm on the 900Mbps EE service which tops out at ~180Mbps using the Nest WiFi Pro with the Google Home speedtest. The Nest WiFi reaches the full 900Mbps. That said, I noticed the doing a speedtest from my phone via a browser I see 600Mbps a couple of rooms away over WiFi which leads me to think the underlying issue is fixed with the latest firmware, however, with a bug in the Google Home speedtest using the Nest WiFi Pro. I no longer see the option to enable 6e though.

I am arranging to return my four-pack nest Wi-Fi pro for the same reasons and following this issue on several sires to no solution.
I have updated the software address.
Is there any solution other than silence from Google?

For those considering WiFi 6e alternatives, I replace my nest WiFi pro with the TP-Link xe75 mesh system and it has been fantastic. Strong WiFi 6e signal throughout and the system just works right out of the box. The app is also really good.

this is great, however how many 6e devices do you really have and what real benefit you will get with 6e, or triple channel? I would say we wait a few years and stick to dual band 6 wifi

3 WiFi 6e devices this far. These happen to be the most data intensive devices other than those on ethernet of course.
I have a tall townhouse, nodes are connected by ethernet.
Blanket WiFi 6e (6Ghz) and WiFi 6 (5 & 2.4) coverage throughout the house.
There is a massive difference with the range of the 6e band compared with the nest for some reason.

I may have been lucky from the start, but I have been getting around 940 Mbps in both directions (in and out) from day one.
I have FTTH from Bell in Toronto, and it did come with a modem (Bell Home Hub 4000) that has the capability of a router that cannot be fully turned off (it can NOT be put into the bridged mode). Instead, it provides two options - one is the so-called "PPPoE Passthrough" (which can make YOUR router obtain a second external IP address via the PPPoE protocol) or the "DMZ zone" mode.
With the PPPoE, we all know how badly Google screwed up. On the other hand, PPPoE is a single-threaded protocol with a lot of overhead from the old DSL days, and I do not frankly understand why the fibre companies nowadays still use it (well, someone has told me it has to do with the billing backend that they still utilize, at least for Bell). One way or another, I'd want to outsource this function of handling PPPoE to an external device, and not give it to my Google Nest Pro router.
With the DMZ, I also had an issue. This Bell modem/router that I have supports "basic DMZ" (which requires double NAT and two sets of open ports on both the modem/router and the Google Nest Pro) and the so-called "Advanced DMZ", which is supposed to give the Google router an external IP. The "Advanced DMZ" had worked well with my old Asus router, but with the Nest WiFi Pro, the latter would receive an external lP address, but would not provide any internet.
In the end, I resorted to "basic DMZ" and double NAT and two sets of firewall rules (as I need external access to my home equipment).
Now, before the latest firmware update, Nest WiFi would crap out almost every day and require a cold restart.
Since the update, it has been 5-6 days and I have not needed to restart the Nest WiFi Pro router. Not once. It has been solidly providing 940 Mbps in both directions, consistently throughout each day.
As I am away from the country, I feel "scared" trying to enable the "Advanced DMZ" remotely, but once I am back, I can and will most definitely try that and see if this changes the consistency in any way. However, I am optimistic and do feel, as the Nest WiFi router is in the simplest DHCP mode, it should work just fine now.
An additional note, during my experimentation in the first couple of days, I concluded that if I specify the DNS servers explicitly and set them to Google's IPv4 DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), things work better. I have also put in the IPv6 Google's DNS servers (2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844), just to be on the safe side.

That's great details. I too set the DNS to Googles instead as support asked me to do so. I can't say if it helps or not but I still get periodic video call hiccups. It's definitely better than original firmware but the problem is still there.

My home set up is such that I have a few devices (water softener, solar panels inverter, electric car etc) at the house entrance. The house is around 15meters or so long. In the back garden I then have a garden office which is another 10 meters or so further away from the house. I am trying to get hold of a mesh system that would allow me to have seamless roaming wifi from garden office, in the garden, in the entire house on two floors and the drive way (I hope I am not asking for too much). I have ethernet wire running from the entrance hall to the back of the house living room, and also another cat7 ethernet cable run from entrance hall to the garden office, meaning I will also be doing wired backhaul. Could somebody in a similar house set up, or more expert to offer any set up that would work for us? I am not into WiFi 6e or WiFi7 as currently max speed I get is 380MBs and the max I will go to in the next few years would be half a gig at best.

I have everything that your saying and used the 1st an 2nd gen google wifi that worked perfectly, now this newer wifi 6 is a total cluster f#$%! What I can say is the new wifi 6 has much better range( I can do same with 3 as I did with 6 gen1 and 2 version).

Our teams are aware of an issue where the Google Home app built-in internet speed test results may be lower than expected for internet connection speeds faster than 500 Mbps. The speed test in the Google Home app is one of the few things that is showing/having the correct speed for me. My wireless clients are still severely throttled (10-20% of expected), even after the last update. I've measured this using Speedtest.net, fast.com, and observed this in my typical internet usage. Wired devices behind my switch seem unaffected as they are getting full speeds.

The speed test in the Google Home test has always been good for me. Even with previous Nest WiFi and now with the Pro. You can't go by what that says, since it is wired directly to your gateway and straight out to the internet.
The issue with these devices is the WiFi part of it that connects to the main Nest WiFi router that is connected to the gateway. These devices do not perform as advertised. They have weak signals especially on 6GHz unless I'm in the same room. My house is made of sheetrock and not metal, so that isn't the issue. My routers are no more than a room apart. Yet the 2nd and 3rd router, when I'm near those, my WiFi devices get poor download speeds. No more or actually less than my original Nest WiFi system.
Doesn't matter if I turn off the new 6GHz or not, nor does any other setting turned off/on help. Google needs to continue investigating. IF it's a hardware issue, they need to offer replacement. IF it's firmware, they need to fix it.

As mentioned in this thread, the coverage and performance is still impacted. This has less to do with speedtest speeds in the Home app than it does with actual degraded performance and connectivity issues. Please don't try to gloss over the actual issues with the hardware by blaming the speedtest in the Home app.

I have internet over 500 Mbps. And yes the Home app speed is low.
However even with multiple third party Wi-Fi speed tests, my old Nest WiFi 5 is faster than the Nest WiFi 6 Pro with 3rd party Wi-Fi tests.

I hope the upcoming fix also addresses the terrible connection speed. The worst is with my two wifi6e devices including the Pixel phone. They both connect to wifi6 after the recent update. Before the update the pc kept connecting to the 5GHZ band. Actually the speed on that band was faster than it is now on the 6 band. Keep those fixes coming please. This doesn't just affect a small number of users but many just don't bother posting the issues. Check the stats for the returned systems compared to the older Nest wifi offerings. It's one thing to wait for fixes to be applied, it's another when problems are minimized.

On 11/22 I tested my connection and it was 250 on a 1gig fiber. I purchased a different wifi, looking to return the nest Wi-Fi pro. I went to disconnect the Wi-Fi pro on 11/23 and thought i would do one more test and got 750! I tested it quite a few times and the same thing! I'm glad this is fixed for me (knock on wood) and hope its fixed for others as well! I wont return the new one for a couple more days just to be sure. Hopefully these speeds stay true!

What test is this? Is **bleep** the built in test in Google Home? Or speed test.net on a wifi device? The main issues with these devices is slow wifi speeds. Not the wired speed from the main router.

I am having the same issue, but I have it on my Neat WiFi, not the pro.
Since 28/12/2022 my download speed has been caped at 50mbps.
I have a 500/500 fiber line. Looks like there are womw firmware issues on both Pro and NonePro WiFi Nest hardware.
