Hi,
I have a Nest WiFi Pro 6E mesh network with 3 points. It works well, but not without its faults, specially con speed and some congestion on channels which I guess could be an issue with the backhaul done through wifi.
My house is pre-wried with CAT5e cables, so I bought a PoE enabled switch and tested the cables, and it's sending power and 1G ethernet through the cables. My plan is to use this to connect my 3 Nest points to the ethernet cables so the backhaul channel will be wired, freeing up some space on the wireless traffic.
The problem is, the 6E points do not power through PoE on any of the ethernet ports. the power is there, I bought a PoE+ tester to check it, but it just won't work. AFAIK, Nest Wifi points were PoE or PoE+ by design. Is there something I'm missing? Any ideas? Did anyone tried something similar?
Thanks in advance.

Google Wifi and Nest Wifi do not support PoE. You’d need to look into some kind of PoE splitter or power injector to make this work.
