I was recently notified that my old google home router would no longer receive updates. It's sad, because that router was so great for such a long time. I decided to stick with Google and get the Nest router two-pack. I've been scrolling reddit ever since I set up this abomination. These issues are well known, and google is doing nothing about it. I have 618 down to router. PC connected with ethernet cable, 21down. Disable upnp. Disable gaming and video conferencing priorities. Enable priority device: 98 down. What a joke. Yes I've restarted it, unplugged it, blah blah. There is no help. Google has known about this for awhile, and they just hide the issue. I'm sending this garbage back. I hope someone can find this post and return their overpriced white pieces of e-waste before they get too deep in this mess.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm still having trouble. Just performed a speed test on the router itself: 684mbps. Speed test on the computer (hard-wired with a 6ft cat6 cable): 94mbps (set as priority device). Speedtest on phone (wifi, with computer still set at priority) 407mbps. I'm sure the discrepancy on the phone is due to the computer being priority, but it still doesn't explain why the computer connection is so slow.

Hi, cyrusmcbeardy69.
Thanks for sending the speed test results. There's definitely a discrepancy there and that sounds pretty frustrating to see such drop off in speed. Have you tried reaching out to support directly by any chance, or is this your first contact with finding support on this? Given the troubleshooting you've looked into, I would reach out to them via phone or chat to see if they can directly diagnose your network and offer some additional insight. You can contact them here: https://bit.ly/3o1aRK5.
If you have any issues getting in touch there, please let me know.
Thanks.
