Nest Wifi points in Google Home but base router can't link

Google Home has found the two remote points on my wifi mesh network, but I cannot get it to recognize or link to the Nest Router that is hardwired to the modem. Suggestions?

Hey, DDS.

Sorry for the setup issues you're experiencing. That sounds like a confusing situation, but let's take a look at things and get it worked out. I do have a few questions that might help us sort this out.

  • Have you tried factory resetting the router itself?
  • When you're performing the setup, can you get the router set up properly, or does it never connect?
  • Can you confirm the wired connections from your modem to the router? Sometimes a loose connection will throw things off entirely.

If you can let me know a bit more, we can get this sorted out. I look forward to your reply.

Thanks.

Thanks for responding Jeff,  I did a factory reset of the Nest Router and then as I went through the setup in the app discovered I needed to do a reset for each of the two points as well. It took a few minutes and was a bit stressful, as it required taking a functioning wifi network offline with only faith the reset/setup would work, but in the end all is well.
