Nest pro WIFI fails to add point

I Purchased a two pack of the Nest Pro WIFI to upgrade from my first Gen Google WIFI. I was able to add the first point with no issue and this was my "router". When I went to add the second point, it gets to the last screen in the home app and fails to add it. It gives me a message to reset my point and try again. I have tried different resets, uninstalled and re-installed the home app. I even factory reset both points and swapped the point that would not mesh and made it the router. It would not connect hard wired as the router. I tried to set it up hard wired to the point that was my router. Nothing has worked. My internet speed is great with my one point, but it will not add this second point. I have made sure my VPN is turned off on my set up device and still no luck. I have tried setting it up on a different device and no luck. Is there a specific setting on my at&t bgw-500 that needs to be changed in order to set up the mesh network?

IGNORE THE DISABLE WIFI STEP IN THIS SETUP UNTIL YOU ARE DONE SETTING UP YOUR NETWORK.
Please configure this first before proceeding with setup of the google wifi. You will reference the mac address printed on the bottom of the google wifi point you plug into the att modem for this setup.

Have you configured your internet gateway to have passthrough to the google wifi?

Thank you very much! This took care of my problem. I followed the steps, factory reset the nest equipment and set it up again. Then I added the additional point with no issue.

Glad to hear! Let me know if you need any more help and feel free to leave a 👍😉
