I have a 900mb connection into my house and have 3 nest wifi pro points about the house - all of them with a direct lan connection. Basically from my router i go out to one of the points, and then back from that into a switch which feeds the other two hubs. Some days I get OK speed, but other days in drops to <10mb and the latency on video calls makes it unusable. Every time its not been the incoming internet and its not the LAN connections as testing them directly the speed is always that of the main router. I am close to throwing them in the bin and starting again. Any advice on what the problem might be greatly received!

What exact switch do you have? Brand and model. Could be that it has conflicting features, like loop detection or prevention.

Thank you for the quick response! Its a tp-link 5 port gigabit desktop switch (TL-SG105). I was told that my issues are likely to do with having a modem/router that feeds this and I should speak to my ISP about getting that set to bridge mode or something?

Hello steve_h66,
I appreciate the information. Your modem-router combo might cause a slow connection and to resolve issues like this, a bridge mode needs to be configured. If you've already done this, let me know if there are any improvements in your internet speed over LAN.
Best,
Lovely
