I've had the Nest Wifi Pro for a few months. With Xfinity I pay for 1.2Gb download speeds and testing at the modem get 1+GB, but the best the Nest wifi pro router gets is between 500- 700mb from the built in speed test. Why is it so slow? I've toggled back and forth with IPV6/IPV4 and the rest of the settings. It was much faster with just the previous gen Nest wifi devices. Yes, this is after the supposed update to fix slow speeds.

I see the same. 1142Mb to my modem, 500-700 at the Google WiFi side. Also see some video streams go woefully bad from time to time and the only fixe is restarting each WiFi point.
I've raised it with Google but not had a good fox yet

I have tried all these thing already. If I plug directly into my ISP modem I see full speeds but I lose 30% of that as soon as it passes through the Google WiFi

I'm not even referring to wifi speeds. I'm not getting what I should from the router itself running a speed test in the home app

Hi @RobHughes
The Nest Wifi Pro only has 1 gigabyte ethernet port so it will never exceed 1000Mbps.
But it should be more than 500 - 700. I am getting around 900 most of the time which seems to be good.
Do you have some kind of double NAT causing issues?

I did but changes the isp router to modem only mode and it made no difference

How do I check for double NAT in the Google home app? When I go into WAN settings, I only see the options for DHCP, Static, or PPPoE

Hi folks,
Thanks for your help here, @RachelGomez123 and @RXShorty.
@RobHughes, @Hybridnotts, I want to follow up if you're still having issues with your internet speed. If yes, please provide me your modem model so we can check if it has a router combo and your Nest Wifi Pro's cast firmware version.
Make sure to disable Preferred Activities and change the DNS setting to 8.8.8.8 on the primary and 8.8.4.4 on the secondary server.
Keep me posted.
Regards,
Lovely

Yes, I am still having trouble. I have all the settings you mentioned and my modem is a Netgear CM2000

Yes still suffering the same issues to the extent I've swapped my network out because the Google WiFi was so unreliable.

Good Afternoon, any updates for this issue?

Hello everyone,
I'm sorry for the delayed response. Kindly perform a factory reset on your Google Nest Wifi Pro. If you have two or more devices, switch them and set up your secondary point as the main router. Check to see if you observe any improvements or not.
Let me know how it goes.
Many thanks,
Lovely

Do all of devices, rooms, and groups stay set up if I perform a factory reset? That's a lot of work to set all that back up.

Ok, I have factory reset everything, switched the routers, set it all back up, and now it is 10MB slower. This is getting very frustrating.
