My nest system was slowing my internet so google support tried a bunch of stuff and finally a factory reset to fix the speed but this has created a worse problem.
after factory reset even though internet works it says offline, it therefore won’t let me connect any more satellite points and shows no devices connected so it has lost all functionality.
tried resets, power cycling and more but basically nothing has fixed since factory reset and now my points are useless. Google support guy couldn’t figure out and promised call back that never came.
any ideas how to fix?
Thanks
thanks

Hi, amjo.
Sorry for the confusion you've had here. This is a recent bug that we've found and there is a quick fix to it. Essentially all you need to do is turn your IPv6 settings on and back off. If you're using IPv6, then just turn them off and back on. Here's how to do that.
Once you've tried that, see if things report correctly. If you're still having issues, let me know.
Thanks.

thanks Jeff, it resolved itself after 4 days.
How do I know if I'm using IPv6?

Hey, amjo.
It's something you need to enable in the first place for different type of networking applications. Most people aren't using IPv6 as it's not enabled by default. Unless you went in and deliberately enabled it at some point, you wouldn't be using it.
I'm happy to hear it's working well for you, however. If things stay stable, we can mark this as resolved, but before I do, is there anything else I can help with?
Thanks.

Hi, all.
As we got our resolution here, I'm going to mark this one as resolved. Thanks to all who helped and contributed. If anyone has any other needs, please feel free to open up a new thread.
Thanks!
