I am new at owning a Google nest router. so pardon my incompetence. I have a network video recorder that I would like to access outside of the LAN. To do so, I need DDNS. How can I make this work with my Google Router? Thank you so much for any information you can give me.

Nest Wifi does not have DDNS. But it has port forwarding:
You should think twice before exposing anything on the internet though. A VPN would be a safer option.
What camera system? Maybe there are better ways to access them from outside your network.

Hi thanks for replying. I have a Networker Pro Recorder (NWP5208P8)that I have inherited at our new home. I can see all camera's on my laptop (not my phone yet) when on the LAN but I'm unable to see any outside of the LAN. I tried port forwarding but when checking, they still seem to be closed. I've also tried the Pegaso App for Android but I'm still unable to connect to the NVR. I really don't want to use a different router. Thanks.

Maybe use an old computer, or a cheap system (raspberry pi) able to run Linux, then use something like Tailscale VPN?
