New Spectrum router eu2251 to upgrade to 1Gbit speeds. Everything was working with an older spectrum modem
AC2200 wifi router will not connect directly to new modem.
I had to use an old Netgear N300 WNR2000 wifi/router as a go-between, but now speeds are throttled less than 100Mbit.
How do I get the Nest to directly connect to modem for the proclaimed 1Gbit speeds?
Spectrum said I was getting 1.23Gbit at the modem and the third party router was my problem

I ran into this issue today. There is a little button on the bottom of the AC2200 you have to press and hold it till it turns yellow to start the factory reset process. I had to do this 3 times for the app would see the spectrum modem. Hope this helps

Thanks. What is the order to do it all? Do I turn everything off and then turn on modem first, then google nest, then factory reset until it connects to modem?

Hey folks,
Thanks for lending a hand, @EpicPHEONIX114.
@Mcintyre, you'll need to reboot your new modem router first since there was a reconfiguration done to it. Here's how you do it:
Unplug the cables connecting your Google Wifi router to your new modem router.
Unplug all the cables on your cable modem including the coaxial cable, power and Ethernet.
After 1 minute, plug the power and the coaxial cable back in. Wait until the cable modem is online again.
Re-connect the Ethernet cable back to your Google Wifi router and wait until it's back online.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Abi

Sorry for the late reply, hope you got it going but yeah just unplug everything. Boot the modem wait like 2 to 4 minutes for it to come online. Then do the router and all is good.
