Hello, I got a new wifi and everything said offline, so I reconnected everything one by one and they all still say offline. What do I do to fix this?

  • Here are some things you can try to fix your devices that are offline after changing your Wi-Fi:
  1. Check your network settings. Make sure that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. You can find this information on your router or modem.
  2. Restart your router and devices. Sometimes a simple restart can fix the problem.
  3. Forget the network and reconnect. Go to your device's Wi-Fi settings and forget the network. Then, try to reconnect to the network again.
  4. Update your network drivers. If your network drivers are outdated, they may be causing the problem. You can update your drivers by going to your device manufacturer's website.
  5. Contact your device manufacturer for support. If you have tried all of the above and your devices are still offline, you may need to contact your device manufacturer for support.

Here are some additional tips that may help:

  • Make sure that your devices are within range of your router.
  • Avoid using metal objects between your devices and your router.
  • If you are using a wireless extender, make sure that it is properly configured.
  • If you are still having problems, try connecting your devices to a different Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps!

When you say "reconnected everything", what do you mean?

Generally, it's not easy to update Wi-Fi settings on Google Nest's devices, which is why they recommend, when getting a new router/modem, to set the network name (SSID) and password to the same values used on your old router/modem. If you can't do that, then generally you need to do a factory reset on each device and reinstall it.

This is Google Nest Help's page on connecting to a new Wi-Fi network:
