Hi Ellenm,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I understand that you’re having troubles connecting your Nest Wifi system to your new Spectrum modem. I appreciate the troubleshooting efforts you've already made to resolve this, and I'm happy to look into this for you.

To help me narrow down the issue, please answer the following:

  • Could you please confirm the model of your Nest Wifi system? (Here is a Google help center article that can help you to identify your device: Wifi products compared
  • Are you using an iPhone or Android device to manage your Nest Wifi system?
  • Is your smartphone's operating system up to date?
  • Are you using the Google Wifi app or the Google Home app to manage your system?
  • Do you have a separate modem and router or a modem/router combo from your internet service provider (ISP)? (If you don’t have this information, you can check with Spectrum.)

In the meantime, I recommend you check the following physical conditions:

  • Make sure the Ethernet cable is securely connected from your modem's Internet/LAN port to the Nest Wifi router's WAN port.
  • Check if any of your devices can detect a Wi-Fi network at your home.
  • Connect a PC or laptop with an Ethernet cable directly to the modem to see if it receives an internet connection.

Please provide the information requested above so we can continue finding a solution to connect your Nest Wifi system to your Spectrum modem.

Best regards,

Virna
