PIVPN with Verizon router + Google Mesh wifi

Hi,

I have a question on port forwarding. I have configured Google wifi on Verizon FIOS router. I installed pivpn on raspberry pi connected to Google wifi. When I try to add rule in Google wifi, I see input ports and output ports option. Can some one help me understand what these ports are? I configured pivpn using wireguard and I have the port number that was used while configuring.

I was using Verizon router before(Without Google wifi) and port forwarding was very simple and had no issues connecting to the VPN from other networks.

Thanks,
Harsha

Guidance:

External port is the port that will be opened on Nest Wifi/ your router.

Internal port is the port on the device you are port forwarding for.

I don't work for Google.

Thank you olavrb!!
