Port won't open

Hello,

I originally had Google Wifi (gen1) and upgraded to Google Nest Wifi Pro.  Since doing so I have lost my ability to connect to my BlueIris software (cameras) when outside of my LAN.  I have ensured port forwarding has been configured in the GoogleHome app and my firewall has that port open.  It still says the port is closed.  Any ideas as to what might be this new problem I am experiencing with Wifi Pro?

Thanks for reaching out. We'd love to help.

A few questions: what are the port numbers that you are trying to use? Were there any recent power or internet outages in your area? Is there a switch on your network? Are you using a modem-router combo? 

Please uninstall and reinstall your Google Home app before creating a new port forwarding rule. Perform a 2-minute power cycle on your entire Wi-Fi network by following this guide:

  1. Disconnect the power from the modem.
  2. Disconnect the Ethernet cable and power cord from the parent point.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the child points.
  4. Leave everything unplugged for 2 minutes.
  5. Connect the power to the modem, then your router and points.
