Service Name

Hi,
I am trying to set up the Nest Wifi system for my home, however my ISP need a specific service to be provided to connect to it along with username and password.
I am not able to find this field anywhere while trying to configure the router.

Any pointers to sort this problem will be appreciated.

Rahul

Hi Rahul16,

Thanks for visiting the Google Nest Community.

Apologies, but what do you mean by "specific service"? Our Google Nest Wifi device just replaces your ISP modem/router to provide reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home. You can visit this article about Set up Google Nest Wifi for further details on setting it up.

Edit: PPPoE service name as MichaelP suggested sounds more likely.

The ISP probably wants the MAC address of the WAN port of what will be the main/primary/master Nest Wifi unit?

What ISP and where (country) do you live?

I don't work for Google.

I assume your ISP wants a PPPoE service name? It doesn't look like Google/Nest WiFi supports that feature – just a PPPoE username + password.
