Setting up Nintendo switch for online gaming with new NBN box

So I recently got a Google nest package with my new NBN box as it came with a deal since I needed it to reach the other end of the house. The internet works perfectly fine, but when I try to play games online through my Nintendo Switch like Super Smash Bros Ultimate, it has connectivity issues. I've done research here and there and it's because of the NAT type being bad for connecting to other players, but no place online explains it in a way that is easy to understand for me personally, so would anyone know by any chance how to fix this issue? Thank you all for your time!

I think this is more about Wi-Fi performance, rather than NAT. Maybe worth trying a USB ethernet adapter?

Double NAT should be avoided if possible though. Is the NBN box running NAT too?

Seems more are having performance problems with the Nintendo Switch on Wi-Fi:

I don't work for Google.
