Hello everyone, I'm looking for help on an issue that started only recently. I've had Google nest wifi for maybe over a year now, and since setup everything has worked perfectly... Until now. In the last week or two, a single satellite/point will stop working and anything connected to that point will stop transferring data. If I'm on that side of the house my phone will say connected to WiFi with limited connectivity and I won't be able to load anything.
It's the closer of the two points to the router so I'm pretty sure it's not a distance issue, and it had been working for over a year and all of the sudden just stopped. The issues are not constant but it seems to pop up every other night or so. Once this puck stops working, it won't fix itself or reconnect without being reset, or resetting the entire mesh network. I know it's just this puck/point because other devices in my home connected to the other point or the router itself will still be online and working. If I run a mesh test while the single puck is down, it will fail, prompting me to reset the network. Also, once the problem puck disconnects I can go look at the online puck and the problem puck and see no difference. Lights look the same, just a solid orange ring on the bottom cause I have the microphone off. I have tried moving the problem puck around to different spots and outlets, but it will still stop working and require a manual reset within 24hours, even being in the same room as the router.
The most frustrating thing about the situation is it's worked great for a year, and all of the sudden it's giving me issues. I have at&t fiber as the ISP and run their modem/router combo in bridge mode to the Google nest router. Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍

Hey ThiccNorm,
I’m sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused. Let's sort this out.
The recommended distance between your Google Nest Wifi points should be within 10-15 feet from the main point.
Give these steps a try:
Keep me posted.
Thanks,
Mel

Sorry for no response Mel, been working a lot. I tried placing the point closer and its still acting up. Factory reset the point and placed it in the same room as the router/main point, and it will still randomly go offline and require a manual reset. I've given up on Google nest, researching mesh wifi alternatives now.
