Starlink gen 1 router

MarkBailie

Recently purchased the Google nest Wi-Fi pro to extend the range in our house. We have the Gen 1 starlink router which has an auxiliary port in the back, so no need for the ethernet adapter. I plugged the Google nest into this and followed the setup with the Google home everything worked great for 2 days and now they say they have no internet. Any ideas?

is the the Starlink bridged properly.....since the modem and the router is packaged into one on that unit ....you will need to configure it properly to avoid a double NAT. According to their support site, you should be able to configure this thru the app in something called "by-pass". Be sure your router is unplugged during this change,  I recommend a full factory reset of your google wifi for good measure.

Be sure to enable IPv6 and 160 mhz modes, no need to enable WPA3.

Let me know how this works, and follow-up with anymore questions.

Also from someone who wants the best price for people.....keep an eye out for home cellular broadband as its  getting more coverage....AT&T has an option called internet air its  a fraction of the price of starlink and no hardware to purchase.
