Strange Bouncing Latency

danit89

We have Google Nest in our house and most nights the internet works fine, but some nights my computer has massive latency issues. It's begins bouncing between 10ms - 50ms every few seconds to both discord and my vm on shadow.tech. I can notice dropping packets to both as well.

Nothing seems to be hitting the network harder than usual, this just kind of happens.

Here's a screenshot of my latency issues on my vm over the last 5 minutes.

Is there a setting or diagnostic I can run to help with this? The one that the google home apps gives says everything is working fine.

I think this is connected to other nest / Google Wifi issues being seen, such as the offline issues. I have to reset my WiFi network daily currently.

Hey, danit89.

Sorry about the network performance hiccups you're seeing. I know it's been a little bit since you shared this. Are you still seeing these up and down events? Are you seeing any disconnects at all, or are they mostly the latency spikes? Have you done any troubleshooting so far on this?

Let me know if you're still seeing the issue and I'll be happy to help out.

Thanks.
