This Nest Wifi point was manufactured for a different country

Hi

I recently bought a new Wifi point at TechInn to extend my wifi range at home.

https://www.techinn.com/

I ever since had a problem to add it to my wifi network. I logged a ticket for Google support Case ID [5-3513000031880].

Yesterday I have replaced my router and and it should work now but got a different message that my wifi point is manufactured in a different country? I never knew the product has a region issue? So, I am unable to use my brand-new device.

  • What country are you in currently? South Africa
  • Is the new router a Nest/Google router, or is it a 3rd party device? New wifi point
  • Do you have any issues connecting any other devices to your network, or is it only the WiFi points? No, except the new one.
  • Where did you purchase the WiFi points? TechInn

Is there a way to make this new point work? my new router can now accommodate much more devices so the IP issue shouldn't be a problem now.

Kind regards

Deon Bouwer
