I have a nest router that I love. I only use it for keeping an eye on network traffic and restrictions. But i also have a ceiling mounted access point, so I don't need the AP function of the router.
I'd like to turn it off. But it doesn't look like i can. It's broadcasting the SSID no matter what I do. How do i fix this?

Hello @Ajh
No, I don't believe it's possible to disable the WiFi access point feature of a Nest WiFi Router. As long as nothing else is configured to join or use that SSID, though, leaving it enabled probably doesn't hurt much (it will just sit there and send beacons periodically on the client-facing and hidden mesh network SSIDs). Just make sure it isn't too close to any other WiFi devices (keep it 3+ feet away).

Hi, everyone.
I'm just checking in real quickly to see if there's anything else we needed in here. Thanks for your input, MichaelP. If there's anything else I can do, please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
