I added a new Google Nest WiFi point to my existing Google Nest mesh system recently but the new point continues to drop off and now will not allow a reset either through the Home app or via the factory reset button in order to re-add to the system.
When pressing the reset button the white light flashes but does not cycle to the expected blue light to indicate reset and ready for set up. This worked a few days ago and I have tried both with the power cord attached and also holding the reset button and then connecting power back.
The power lead is in full working order as it successfully powers the Google nest router
To this end I am unable to re-connect to the point and manage and settings through the Home app.
Any suggestions on how to fix this would be most welcome.

Since you mentioned having a Nest Wifi point, while pressing and holding the reset button, you'll notice a sound confirming that the device is resetting. With this model, you won't get a blue light from the point because these specific models (Nest Wifi points) may display a slowly pulsing white light, which means the point is ready for setup.
