What do I do if my Google Nest keeps saying connection failed?

Im trying to connect my google nest to my modem and it doesn’t find a connection when I try to set it up it keeps saying “connection failed.”

Thanks for coming to the community with your question. I'm sorry that you're having an issue getting your Nest device to connect to your network. I'm sure that's frustrating. Let's see what we need to do in order to get everything working correctly.

You said that you can't get your Nest to connect to your modem. Could you clarify which Nest device you are working with? Is this the Nest WiFi, a thermostat, or maybe a speaker or display? If you can fill me in on which device we're working with, I can get you squared away.
