Why are paused devices excluded from device count in the Home app?

The Google WiFi app doesn’t do this, and the Home didn’t used to do this. Curious why paused devices are excluded from the connected device count. They are still a device on the network. They’re connected. They can ‘talk’ with other devices. I’d love to hear the rationale for excluding those from the connected device count in the app.

Hey, Foggerton.

I know that you posted this a while ago, and I'm sorry for the late response. With the WiFi app migration to the Home app, some things were changed and there are more things planned to add to the app and evolve over time. I can take your feedback and pass that along to our teams here. You can also submit your own feedback via the Home app.

Thanks.

Would love for you to pass that along. I feel strongly that a connected, albeit paused, device should still be counted as a connected device in the device count.

It's actually feedback that I have passed along before. You're not the only one that would like to see this feature, and it does make a lot of sense. I'll add your voice to the others.

Thanks.
