Cannot get a Wi-Fi point to setup. QR code doesn’t work and the setup code to enter has 8 digits but my setup code on the bottom of my device has 9 digits. Any help would be appreciated

As seen in these older threads:
Try to start the pairing/setup process again. Seems it sometimes wrongfully detects the device as requiring a 9 digit code.

This is not the experience we want you to have, let me help you. A few questions: what type of router do you have? Is this the first time setting it up?
It would help a lot if you could first restart or force close the Google Home app and reboot your WiFi router. If needed, reinstall the app and try the setup again.
