Am setting up wifi router w one point. The Point always displays grey after setup (router is fine). This is in a guest home. The bizarre thing is the same point show up in the wifi network of my main home(different wifi network), also grey. Have tried factory reset twice w/o luck. The point shows up grey in both networks.

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue setting up your access point. To confirm, is it a Google Wifi point or a Google Nest Wifi point, the one with speakers? I'll wait for your reply.

Hi Abigail. It’s a Google nest Wi-Fi point. It has a speaker.

Hello Talbott,
Thanks for the update. You will need to remove the old Nest Wifi point in your main home structure before setting it up in your Guest Home structure. Please follow the steps below:
Once done, setup your Nest Wifi point again and make sure you’re in your Guest Home structure when you do this. Let me know how it goes.

The grey “point” no longer appears in my home location, but is still greyed out in the guest home. Mesh connection and speed tests seem to work fine. IpEven after a full uninstall & re-install, the “point” stays grey. Bizzare. Any help is appreciated.

Hey there,
Thanks for the update and my apologies for the late reply. Could you try to clear the cache of your Google Home app? Also, if possible, try using a different device to check if it still shows. If you're using an android device, try it with an iOS device this time. Let me know how it goes.
