WiFi points unresponsive

Franticfridge

I'm resetting my WiFi points after an outage a couple of weeks ago (I've been away from home) from my ISP and it's up and running from the main router but will not recognise my other two points, even starting them side by side. I did need to change my Google password to get up and running again.

Which obviously means I have one router and the nest system no longer works. I've tried the unplugging and restarting but the app no longer recognises my other 2 routers.

I'm not particularly technical bit not stupid either. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Dean

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your reply but thankfully all is sorted. I reinstalled everything smart in the house including my routers. My ISP was great and helped me out.

I think I was shocked at an outage causing so much carnage!

Hey, Franticfridge.

Sorry for the late response on this, but I wanted to see if you were still having issues with this here. Also, thanks for letting me know what troubleshooting you have tried so far. After an outage, if you're not having luck restarting the devices to get them to reconnect, I would suggest doing a factory reset on the points to see if setting up as new would clear this up for you. If you're still having troubles getting everything online after a factory reset, please let me know and we can keep digging into this together.

Thanks.

Awesome! That's great news, Franticfridge. Thanks for the update and letting us know what worked for you.

Since we have this resolved, I'll go ahead and close the thread up, but if you need anything else down the line, please feel free to open up a new discussion.

Thanks!
