WiFi pro latest firmware has not fixed speedtest

With the latest firmware for Google nest WiFi pro Software Version: 1.63.355999, slow speeds are still reported in the speediest from the Google home or WiFi apps.

I have just moved over to nest WiFi pro from nest WiFi, which accurately reported 800+ download and about 100 upload (what I expect).

The WiFi pro reports under 300 download and 100 upload.

Upload looks correct, any others still have this issue. This forward version was supposed to fix this. Thanks.

I am having the exact same issues.  I've checked all my other devices, numerous times did resets to them.  Model is 6GZUC and SW version is 1.63.355999.  It is highly annoying that this product provides 3 separate wifi bands and cannot support operations as it is currently advertised.  Wifi drops in and out several times a day, affects everything I do.

Hello everyone,

@awshanks, @tyrriol, thanks for flagging this to us. I'll be sure to report your experiences to our senior specialist team. For now, please make sure to turn off Preferred Activities in your Google Home app. Change the DNS settings and toggle the Nest Wifi Cloud services off and on. Here's the guide: open the app > Choose Favorites > Select Wi-Fi > Tap on Network Settings > Privacy Settings > Disable Nest Wifi Cloud services for a minute and then enable it > Save.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers,
Lovely

I'm still getting very low speeds reported via the Google Home app too using the Nest WiFi Pro on the latest firmware. Via the the browser I'm seeing ~650Mbps (900Mbps connection via EE, UK), however, via the app I've never seen over around 170Mbps. That's always been the case which is crazy as this was reported as a problem back in November when purchased!

I tried the suggested steps but to no avail. Hopefully it'll be resolved soon!

Hi there,

@PeteUK, @awshanks, I appreciate the additional information that you provided. There has been a new Google Home app version available, so please make sure you have it installed. Share with me your Google Home app version afterwards and the phone you're using for it.

Thanks,
Lovely

Hi @LovelyM,

I've been using the Home App public preview for months and have the latest (at least the latest available to me) version installed - v3.4.1.5. I also have what I believe is the latest firmware on each of my Nest WiFi Pro points (x4). I'm using a Google Pixel 7 Pro. I have a 900Mbps EE fibre connection (UK, using OpenReach, FTTP) with it setup via PPPoE. Via the Home app I never see speeds greater than around 180Mbps, however, when doing a speed test via Chrome (over wi-fi) I see speeds over 500Mbps on the floor above my primary point. This has been consistent behaviour since I, and others, reported this issue in November last year and is still happening despite being (allegedly) fixed! Very frustrating!

Done these and still no change even after a reset etc.

The system does work though, the speed to devices are high etc but how do you troubleshoot network issues if even the basic speedtest does not work correctly. I am on PPPoE which is exactly what the fix should have been for.
