Wifi: How to delete previously connected devices?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a long list of devices previously connected devices on my Google Nest Wifi router-app. I don't see any option to delete these devices? Do I miss something?

These devices are in a grey box and are marked as "inactive". Many devices are just "unknown" so I wanna get rid of them.

Hey, FamilySchmidt.

Thanks for posting. Let me explain a bit what you're seeing with those grayed out devices in your device list. When you have active connections on your network, they will show up in the device list. Once a device disconnects, it will still show on the list, only grayed out. Right now there's no way to edit the items on the list manually, but over a period of time they begin to fall off the list. Within 30 days or so, devices that have connected but don't connect again, they should start to disappear without you having to do anything.

I hope that sorts that out for you. I'm sorry we don't have a way to manually edit the list, but it is something I've passed along to our internal teams as a suggestion. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with.

Thanks.

Thank you, a manual way to delete the greyed devices would be awesome. (I currently have a long list of devices, many are "unknown"...)

No problem, FamilySchmidt.

As we have an answer on this one, I'm going to go ahead and close up the thread. If you have anything else you need, please feel free to open a new discussion up.

Thanks.
