Wiifi dropping constantly

It looks like the Google router does not have an extended life span.  It constantly drops connection and i am constantly resetting the modem and router.  Google will not replace their faulty router since I am out of warranty unlike my internet provider who gave me new modem - just to eliminate the possibility of the modem being the problem. 😖

Buy a new one to see if it makes any difference. If yes: Keep it. If no: Return it.

Could you tell us more about your setup? Just to check if theres any obvious reasons for instability. How is everything connected, wires vs. wireless backhaul, what exact devices, double NAT or not, is modem also broadcasting W-Fi etc.

I don't work for Google.

Hi olavrb.  Thanks for your reaching out.   Wiifi keeps dropping. Everything is connected via wires. The modem‘s coaxial cable is connected to the Google router. I have to Google assistants, a mesh point and google display.

Thanks

The modem is not broadcasting the Wi-Fi. It is the router.

Hi folks,

@olavrb, thanks for the help!

@Sapasa108, I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Google Wifi. I'd love to know more about this. Could you tell us the light status of your Google Wifi device when the internet drops?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward

See thread below and good luck.

I Chased my nest wifi issues for months. It's the Nest wifi router. My 1gb internet service was absolutely unusable on this router and it started 4 or so month ago. Worked fine for almost 2 years then 4 months ago wired connections were fine but wifi was unusable.  Gave up after months of no support from Google on this issue. See similar stories below. Google doesn't support their hardware
