I have one nest wifi pro acting as the router and two more as Wi-Fi points. My house had telephone lines run with cat 5e, so I converted them to rj45s and have the router connected to an unmanaged switch, which is connected via cat 5e to the other two Wi-Fi points. Google home app shows that they are wired now, but still says they have weak connection. And they occasionally lose connection.
Is there some setting on the router I need to change or something else I'm missing? Any help is appreciated

Hi Waveyboya,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that your Nest Wifi Pro is indicating a weak connection, and I'm happy to assist you! Before we proceed, I need to ask a few questions to better understand the situation.
I look forward to your response.

Manuel

No recent changes.
No more than 4-5 at a time, it's just my wife and I.
It is a modem and router combo from att, but of course we use the Google nest as the router.
The speed is good when it's working, it's just that it says weak connection and frequently disconnects.

Hi Waveyboya,
Thanks for your reply. What's your approximate home or apartment's lot area in square feet?
The number of Google Nest Wifi Pro, Nest Wifi, or Google Wifi devices needed to provide coverage for your home depends on your individual situation. Things like your home size, home construction, and Wi-Fi congestion in your neighborhood can all affect your device's coverage. Please visit Nest Wifi Pro coverage to check how many points you need.
I will be awaiting your response.
Regards,
Manuel

1850 sqft, three floors. I have the one acting as the router on the 1st fl, a WiFi point in the room directly above it (2nd fl), and another point on the 2nd fl office on the other side of the house as the other two. 3rd fl is not a concern.
So these are rated that that should work with wireless connection, but I have them wired anyways. How can it say weak connection if they are wired?

Take your Android Ping Monitor, connected to 8.8.8.8. Walk around and see the quality of the connection. Use the base unit as control, to check the outside. Everywhere in the house should be over 90% quality. Your place is the same as mine, but I doubled. You may have old cat5 cable and you need cat8. Everything that causes trouble is the back haul. Change things up and always check the ping monitor.
