I have the same issue yesterday. connect to google wifi router, connect to wifi, but stuck on adding wifi point to network. Try to download and install google home app early 2024 version. It fixed mine and working normal now.

I did....but same thing. Any other idea?

TY!

Try using iphone

no luck..... I guess is a bug related to some update. It's really frustrating.

Try this, factory rest the wifi router and wifi point. Uninstall google home. Download google home apk version 3.12.1.6 (jan 2024) and install to your phone. Don't update the google home app.

Set the google wifi router first to connect to the wifi. And try to connect the wifi point. Hope it helps.

Hi @Sychus!

Thank you for posting in the community, and to @Johanes1812 for the recommendations! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest WiFi point won’t connect to your mesh network. I appreciate your efforts in taking those steps before. I'm happy to help you!

To help me find the best solution, I'll need to ask you a few questions:

  • Does the child point broadcast the setup Service Set Identifier (SSID) or network name located at the bottom of the device?
  • Did you try to set up the point wirelessly or through a wired connection? How do you want your mesh setup?
  • What's the color of the LED lights on the parent and child point?
  • Is the child point within the recommended distance from the parent point? The recommended distance is between 20 to 25 feet (6 to 7 meters).
  • Did you get an error message during setup?
  • Do you have any switches in your network setup?

Please keep me posted. I'll be waiting for your response.

Best regards,
Geremi
