could not communicate with your nest hub

I am trying to connect Google Nest to my new Internet provider . I keep getting the message 'could not communicate with your nest hub' I have tried a factory reset and still having problems. I have a Googlecast and I'm having the same problem

  • Which Google Nest device do you have? (model name, generation number)
  • What is your WiFi setup? (single router or multiple access points - how many?)
  • What internet provider did you have before? 
  • What internet provider do you have now?
  • Could you please try to connect your device to a hotspot? Does the same error message show up?
