The old Google Wifi has been running fine behind my ATT 5268AC 1GB Fibre modem. I purchased 3 Nest routers to replace it and was hoping i could just unplug and replug using the same network name and password... Right away during installation of the 1st router i'm getting the DNS not known message. I have no other options to continue ...

You have to factory reset/ delete your whole existing network before setting up a new one/ replacing the main puck:

When setting up the new network, simply reuse the network name (SSID) and password, and your devices should reconnect automagically.

I don't work for Google.
