I have a Gen 3 Nest thermostat with a display that reports “Connect your thermostat to Wi-Fi to add it to the Nest app.
Pressing “Connect” results in “Searching”, “No networks found yet”
Display “TYPE NETWORK NAME”, “Network security”, and “Password” results in the display “Failed to connect”
I have a total of two Nest Thermostats in the house. The other Nest Thermostat is working fine, and is controllable with the Android Nest App.
I’ve had the Nest Learning Thermostat gen 3 for 4+ years.
Setup=>network=>Does not list any networks.
Setup=>network on one of the other Nests shows a list of available WiFi SSIDs.
DISPLAY: “POWER” has “Battery, 3.926V“
I do have C wire.
I have tried a normal reboot, but with no luck
I have tried network reset, but with no luck.
I have rebooted my router, but with no luck.
I am located in the US.

You may already have tried some of these steps but I'll link to them in full:
Nest thermostat is offline - Google Nest Help
You mentioned it doesn't show any Wi-Fi networks to connect to at all? If you enable the Wi-Fi hotspot feature on your phone or a tablet does that display?

I just tried the mobile hotspot suggestion and it could not be found by the thermostat either. My son thinks the wifi chip may have gone bad.

I have also tried 1-9 on your link with no luck. #10 does not apply since the other thermostat is working.

In that case, I'd recommend that you contact the Google Nest support team.
When you reach an agent, be sure to mention it doesn't show any Wi-Fi networks to connect to at all, not even a Wi-Fi hotspot, and you've already tried rebooting the thermostat, amongst other things.
