I purchased a Google Nest WiFi system a couple weeks ago and starting last week while working my work VPN will disconnect and reconnect and half dozen or more times a day. I have Ethernet cable going from Modem to the Nest node which my work laptop is connected to via Ethernet cable as well. So despite a fully wired strong connection my VPN is still dropping out multiple times a day. It will usually reconnect in 5-10 seconds, but I still can't have that in my job. I have seen posts on this as recently as a year ago that suggest this is unique to Google Nest. I did not have this problem on my previous Linksys mesh system with same physical set up (but it had WiFi strength issues hence replacement). Just seeing if there's any known fix before I return this and try something else.

Hi LordD2,
Thanks for reaching out. Our devices don't really work well with VPN. You can enable port forwarding to allow traffic from the internet to pass through the Google Nest Wifi firewall or Google Wifi firewall to a specific device on your home network. Check out the article below to learn more about it.
Port forwarding or port opening
