Nest Tag not able to reassign (reset?)

Hi, I am not able to assign Nest Tag & receive the "NT009 (7)" error code. The Tag does not show in my Nest app (or Home app). Is there a way to "reset" the Tag?

I already reset the Nest Guard system (which required me to reset/reinstall all of the Detects), and still not able to assign the Tag.

Hi, Please share if you know of a way to "reset" a Nest Tag. 

I eventually found that another member of my Google Family/Home had assigned that Tag & we were able to "remove" it from the assignment, and then reassign. 

However, would still be helpful to understand how to "reset" a Tag; in the event I am not able to locate who/how it is already assigned.

Hi AGN,

I’m sorry for the delay. The Nest Tag has no reset button, in case you need to reassign the tag to another home structure or account you’ll need to disable or remove it. To learn more, have a look at this guide: How to disable Nest Tag or remove it from your account.

Hi JT, Thank you & I'll give that a try. I see. from this help community that you know a lot about Nest products. May you know of any options for door/window sensors (replacement for Nest Detect) that are compatible with Nest Guard?
