Hello Google Home Developer Support Team,
I am preparing for WWGH (Works with Google Home) certification for a Matter-enabled device, and I need clarification on the latest 2026 requirements and full process. Could you please help me with the following questions:
1. For a new Matter device submission in **May 2026**, is the CSA ITL interoperability test report **mandatory**? Or is the Google Matter Test Suite report still sufficient as the only test evidence?
2. Even if I provide a CSA ITL interoperability test report, is the Google Home Test Suite still required to be completed and submitted?
3. Could you please provide or confirm the **full, up-to-date WWGH certification process for Matter-only devices** in 2026, including all required steps and documents from start to badge issuance? Thank you for your guidance. Best regards, [Your Name/Company Name]

Thanks for reaching out. Google is currently in the Phase 2 Dual-Path transition, allowing you to submit either a CSA ITL report or Google Home Test Suite results for the WWGH badge. While both are accepted now, the Test Suite path will be disabled during Phase 3, which is scheduled for later in 2026. Once Phase 3 begins, the ITL report will become the only valid documentation for certification. Therefore, you should choose the path that best aligns with your immediate timeline before the full transition takes effect.
