There is pretty much never a time where every single device shows that it is connected. If I tap on an offline device in the Google Home app, the device will usually connect within a second or two, Automations are often slow to respond and they fail frequently. If I repeat the automation trigger (often a light switch) after a failed attempt it will usually work but not every time. My wife is so tired of things just not working quickly or at all.
I have over 75 matter devices (all WiFi), over 40 non-matter connected devices, 3 different Google matter hubs throughout the house, and great WiFi coverage with multiple wired access points on different channels. The more devices I add the more I notice the issue. I'm not sure if that is due to more devices causing the problem or the problem just being more visible with more devices and Automations.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @Sir_Rob ,
Thank you for reaching out to us with your issue. We have also seen such similar observations when more than 50 devices are connected to certain network. One reason attributing the delay in command execution and other irregularities could be due to resources getting overloaded.
I would recommend opening up a bug in this regard on the Public Issue Tracker. We engineers at Google are constantly working to make the experience of working with Smart Home Devices smooth and simple. Your feedback serves as a valuable piece of information in improving the Google Smart Home ecosystem.

I followed your advice, but all I got was a response stating, "Status: Won't Fix (Infeasible)".

I understand that Google Home over Matter is in its infancy, so until it becomes a reliable system, I have been forced to use other solutions. The problem is that because Matter was supposed to work with different manufacturers, I have products from a handful of different manufacturers that can only communicate with each other through Matter. This means that I still need a Matter solution for a number of my mart home devices. I have around 105 smart devices installed now and have more to install. Short of trying Amazon, Samsung, and Apple, what else can I do?
