I know this may seem minor, but if you are in an area that has lots of wild animals, it could come in handy.
While Google Photo's can identify specific pets, I'd think that implementing Familiar Face Detection for pets wouldn't be that far off. I know I'm not the first to request this feature, but I'm curious if the folks at Google have put this on their to-do list.

That's a great suggestion, pet-specific Familiar Face Detection could be incredibly helpful, especially for enhancing outdoor security alerts. Hopefully, it's already on the team's radar for future consideration. In the meantime, we encourage you to submit this idea through the Google public issue tracker so it can be formally logged as a feature request.
