Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulty connecting your Philips Hue bulb to your Google Home. In addition to the steps you've already taken, there might be some additional considerations:

  1. Ensure Hue Bridge Compatibility: Confirm that your Philips Hue bulb is compatible with the version of the Hue Bridge you're using. Some bulbs may require a compatible bridge for seamless integration with Google Home.

  2. Check Device Requirements: Certain devices, such as a 2nd generation Nest Hub, might have specific requirements for connecting smart bulbs. Ensure that your setup meets any device-specific criteria.

  3. Contact Manufacturer Support: If the issue persists, it could be beneficial to reach out to the customer support of Philips Hue. They can provide insights into any known compatibility issues or offer step-by-step guidance tailored to your specific setup.

You're not required to have a bridge in order to use a Bluetooth item. What additional information do you have to setting and connecting your Bluetooth Philips hue light bulb to Google home app?

I am trying to add a 4th Hue light bulb (not matter enabled) to an existing set of 3 Hue lights that work with the Hue App and with Google home. I do not have a Hue Bridge. I added the light to the Hue App like before but Google home won't find or link the 4th bulb after following and repeating the standard Google home instructions. When I select add Devices that work with Google Home the Google home does not show the Hue app as being linked. It actually must be linked because GH controls the set of 3 other Hue bulbs. If I select Hue from the list of available apps GH first says Hue is linked, but then says there was a problem and try again later. I tried switching with another new Hue bulb and the same thing. The Hue app works perfectly and added the 4th bulb. GH won't add it. What do you suggest?
