Hi @Normanh,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand you're having issues with your Google Nest Hub playing specific videos on YouTube with voice commands, as it only recommends different ones. I'm happy to assist you.

Could you confirm if this happens only with some videos from YouTube or with all the videos when you ask the device?

Is this happening only when playing videos on YouTube, or is it the same when playing music from Spotify or Apple Music?

In the meantime, I recommend you try with different commands like the ones below:

  • “Play <video>.”
  • “Play <video> using YouTube."

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Anders

Hi Andes, thanks for your help.

The video I want to play and have difficulty to find it is the Sunday worship of my church in Taiwan, the title of the worship is quite long and it’s in Chinese:

 “2025.09.7 新竹北門聖教會 主日信息直播”

I didn’t try other videos by voice command, but I guess if the title of the video is complicated, Nest will have same problem to find it.
The voice command to search on Apple Music is better, I can find what I want in most of the cases.

Hi @Normanh,

Thank you for replying. I understand some video titles can be complicated to find through voice commands due to the language (Chinese).

We're always looking for ways to improve, and we appreciate your feedback to continue improving our products and meeting your needs.

Regards,

Anders

Since the Nest has limited input methods, If the Nest can be linked with Google Home app, let user use app to find the video easily and then “ share” it with Nest, that would be a great solution.
